When should we do Answer Writing for UPSC?

For every aspirant it is a big question when he/she should start writing answers. Because when an aspirant is in the beginning of his/her preparation, he/she has very little information at his disposal, so even if he/she tries to write an answer he/she is not able to, so he/she left the answer writing altogether for the day when he/she will finish at least maximum amount of syllabus. This is where maximum aspirants go wrong.

So then what is the correct approach?

In short if you are an aspirant or you want to start preparing for UPSC, the correct approach is to start writing answers the day you start your UPSC preparation, don't waste even a single day.

What would I write as I know nothing about the syllabus?

This is where there is very little guidance available?

Most of the people will say you first cover some portion of the Syllabus then start writing answers. But this is not the correct approach. Rather focus on just writing answers. Here I will give you some ways to start writing answers?

1. Daily CA: Upon starting preparing for UPSC first thing you will be asked to is start reading Newspaper daily, because current affairs forms the major chunk of the UPSC preparation. So as you are reading the daily newspaper and following some current affairs website, you will easily get questions based on current affairs and newspaper articles. There are plenty of websites who provide daily mains answer writing questions for practice.

2. Static Portion: Whenever you finish any segment of your syllabus try searching on google for practice questions on that particular segment, you will easily get them.

Final point- Write daily answers no matter what happen if you are a serious aspirant.
