My Thoughts.
We humans have an innate need for companionship. We can’t live without it. We are social beings, we live in society, we live together. We want to talk and we want to sacrifice for somebody.
The first example of Companionship. Allah swt created Adam pbuh and sent him into the Paradise. But after some time, he pbuh was not at ease even in the heaven. So, Allah swt created Eve so that he may find comfort in her.
Harlow’s Monkey Experiment. Psychologist Harry Harlow, did an experiment in which he demonstrated that infant rhesus monkeys preferred a soft, cloth ‘mother’ over a wire ‘mother’ that provided food, even when the wire mother offered sustenance. This indicated that companion ship or emotional attachment are more important than food.
